Spokane Loses Debut
LEWISTON, Idaho, April 3. — Washington State college, the defending champ, took over first place in the spring training banana belt baseball league Tuesday by thumping University of Idaho 17 to 7.
In another banana game, northern Idaho college topped Spokane Indians of the Western International league game 6 to 3. It was Spokane's first game since starting spring training here. Pitcher Gordie Palm of northern allowed Spokane eight hits but kept them, well scattered.
