Brunswick to Capilano Nine
SEATTLE, April 13—Seattle Rainiers Friday optioned Gordon Brunswick, former Washington State college baseball and football star, to the Vancouver Capilanos of the Western International league.
Brunswick, 24, hit .347 for Klamath Falls last year, his first in professional baseball.
The Rainiers also sought to option pitcher John Hoffman to the Capilanos but general manager Earl Sheely said the 27-year-old righthander had declined to go. Sheely said Hoffman was given permission to attempt to make some kind of a deal of his own. Hoffmann spent most of last season with Denver.
