Here Are Your 1951 WIL Managers

WIL Pilot List Is Now Complete
By The Associated Press [Jan. 18]
The signing of Rupert (Tommy) Thompson for a second term by Wenatchee's Chiefs this week completed the list of pilots for the eight Western International League baseball teams for 1951.
Four are holdover pilots and the other four are newcomers, although Bill Brenner merely is moving from one league spot to another—Vancouver to Yakima.
Two long-time stars of Seattle's Pacific Coast league Rainiers will handle the rams of Canada's two league entries, rotund Richard Barrett at Victoria and Bill (The Rooster) Schuster at Vancouver. Hugh Luby, taking over at Salem, rounds out the list of the new field directors.
The holdovers, in addition to Thompson, are Alan Strange at Spokane, Jim Brillheart at Tacoma and Charley Peterson at Tri-City.
Brenner takes the place of Joe Orengo at Yakima, Luby moves into the driver's seat formerly filled by Ad Liska at Salem and Barrett replaces Marty Krug at Victoria.
