YAKIMA, July 3 — The Vancouver Capilanos made good use of 15 hits to defeat the Yakima Bears 7 to 5 in a Western International league baseball game Tuesday night.
Vancouver went into an early lead, scoring twice in the first inning on a walk, Ray Tran's double and Dick Sinovic's single.
Yakima went ahead in the fourth, scoring four unearned runs with the help of doubles by Jerry Zuvella and Bill Andering.
However, the heavy-hitting Caps came back in the fifth with three runs on two doubles and two singles and in the sixth with two more runs.
Tran batted in four runs and scored three times.

KENNEWICK, July 3 — It took the Victoria Athletics two months to win a baseball game with the Tri-City Braves Tuesday night. The Athletics scored a 5 to 3 decision completing a game called 3 to 3 in the seventh inning on April 29 at Kennewick. However, the Braves spoiled the evening for Victoria by scoring seven runs in the eighth inning in the regulation game to chalk up a 7 to 1 victory.
In the nine-inning affair, the Braves exploded for seven runs in the eighth on three singles, two doubles, one triple, a walk, a sacrifice and an error. Six of the runs countered after two men were out.

TACOMA, July 3—A seventh-inning single by catcher Jim McKeegan drove in the winning run as the Salem Senators edged the Tacoma Tigers 4 to 3 in a Western International league baseball game Tuesday night.
McKeegan's single scored George McDonald who had singled and advanced to second on a sacrifice.
